Job Description:

Benfarmm Private Ltd., a leading online meat and fish supplier, is looking for a talented and innovative Chef & Food Tester to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a keen interest in food research, and experience in experimenting with new cuisines. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and taste, while also contributing to the development of new and exciting offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

New Food Research & Development:

Conduct research on emerging food trends and new ingredients to create innovative dishes.
Experiment with different cooking techniques, flavors, and presentations to develop unique recipes.
Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new and exclusive products to the Benfarmm platform.

Menu Innovation & Cuisines:

Design and curate a diverse menu featuring traditional and contemporary dishes from various cuisines.
Explore and incorporate regional and international flavors to appeal to a wide range of customer tastes.
Continuously innovate and refine recipes to maintain the freshness and uniqueness of the offerings.

Quality Assurance & Food Testing:

Conduct regular taste tests to ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards.
Evaluate the texture, flavor, and presentation of food items, providing feedback for improvement.
Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients used in the preparation of dishes.

Product Launch Support:

Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes for new product launches.
Provide culinary expertise and support during promotional events and product demonstrations.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create content that highlights new offerings.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all food preparation and handling processes comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Implement best practices for food storage and preservation to maximize freshness.

Customer Feedback Integration:

Analyze customer feedback and preferences to adjust and improve menu offerings.
Develop recipes that cater to specific dietary requirements and preferences.
Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide culinary solutions.

Training & Development:

Mentor junior kitchen staff and provide guidance on culinary techniques and food safety.
Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and share knowledge with the team.
Participate in workshops and training programs to enhance culinary skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Chef, Food Tester, or in a similar culinary role.
Strong knowledge of various cuisines and food preparation techniques.
Excellent taste perception and the ability to identify subtle flavors.
Creativity and a passion for food innovation.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Degree or certification in culinary arts is a plus.
